02 / SCOPEDEVELOPMENT & ARCHITECTURE IN RENNES

Develop an information system that can genuinely evolve.

Based near Rennes, I help companies and public-sector organisations in Brittany design business applications, architect distributed systems and progressively modernise their information systems. I also work remotely throughout France.

Full stack PHP and Symfony application development

A business application is more than an interface or an API. It must translate sometimes complex rules, secure data and remain understandable to the teams who will evolve it. I cover the complete chain: domain modelling, PHP Symfony, Java Spring boot, Javascript backend, APIs with API Platform, JavaScript or TypeScript interfaces with React, Vue or Angular, hybrid mobile applications, databases, tests and production launch.

This full stack approach suits B2B platforms, internal tools, data portals and operational software that must communicate with the existing information system. Components are chosen according to the business, maintainability and the actual workload.

02

Software architecture and distributed systems

When several applications, APIs, services and data sources must cooperate, the challenge is no longer just developing a feature. Responsibilities must be defined, exchanges controlled and failures anticipated. I architect distributed systems around clear contracts, event-driven flows, asynchronous processing and usable observability.

The objective is not to multiply microservices. It is to build a proportionate architecture that can absorb growth, limit side effects and remain operable by the teams.

03

Modernising information systems and legacy applications

Modernising an information system does not mean rewriting everything. I begin by mapping flows, dependencies, sensitive data and production constraints to identify a realistic path. Transformation can then progress in stages: extracting a scope, creating APIs, upgrading Symfony, securing deployments or evolving the data model.

This progressive approach reduces business risk, protects service continuity and delivers value before the modernisation programme is complete.

04

Architecture for useful AI orchestrators and agents

AI becomes relevant when it fits into a controlled process. I design orchestration architectures that connect models, agents, RAG, MCP servers, internal tools and business data, with explicit limits and human supervision.

These systems can support analysis, document retrieval, deliverable production or selected development loops. They are assessed like any other information-system component: output quality, security, traceability, operating cost and the ability for people to take back control.

03 / PRINCIPLE

Complexity is not the problem.
Uncontrolled complexity is.

My work is to make a complex system understandable, maintainable and operable. I do not look for the most impressive architecture, but for the one that serves the business with the least debt and the most continuity.

05 / TRAJECTORYMETHOD

One mission, four control points

  1. 01

    UNDERSTAND

Business, constraints, users, risks and existing systems.

  2. 02

    MAP

Flows, data, dependencies, technical debt and transformation path.

  3. 03

    BUILD

Incremental development, tests, regular demos and useful documentation.

  4. 04

    HAND OVER

Production launch, monitoring, support and team autonomy.

I can join an existing team, own a scope independently or support an architecture decision.

06 / CAPABILITIESFOCUSED EXPERTISE

The full chain, from business to production.

07 / OPERATORABOUT

Behind the system, one direct point of contact.

I am Antoine Darche, software engineer and founder of Life in the Cloud. I have been programming since my teens and freelancing since 2016.

With a MIAGE background, I enjoy projects where understanding the business matters as much as code quality. Based near Rennes, I work on site in Brittany or remotely throughout France.

My role does not stop at producing code: I make decisions easier, architecture clearer and help teams retain control of their system.

08 / INTAKENEW MISSION

Do you have software to build, an existing system to modernise or an architecture to clarify?

Tell me about the context, even if the need is not perfectly defined yet. One first conversation is often enough to identify the right path.
